Word of Mouth Marketing or WOM Marketing occurs when people share information about a company’s products and/or services with family and friends. This is an effective way to raise awareness about an organizations products and services and generate sales. Using social networks, customer referral plans and customer partnerships are an excellent way to get people excited and talking about your company. This is one of the most cost effective marketing strategies available today. WOM Marketing works when you give people a reason to talk about you and your company. Tip: The message needs to be something they would be willing to tell a friend.
