According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ (NACE) 2012 Internship & Co-op Survey:

• Intern conversion hit an all-time high in 2012
• Employers extended offers to 61.2% of their Class of 2011 interns
• 86.5% of these offers were accepted
• Employers converted 58.6% of their Class of 2011 interns into full-time hires
• More than 40% of 2012 expected new college hires will come from employers’ own internship and co-op programs

These trends will continue in 2013 as intern hiring is expected to increase 8.5 percent from last year, while co-op hiring is expected to jump by 7.5 percent.
