JMF Thinks Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
In order to help spread breast cancer awareness, members of J.M. Field Marketing will participate in the Making Strides of Broward 5k Walk/Run. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11 at Huizenga Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 9:00 a.m.
Making Strides, which works in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, is the nation’s largest network of breast cancer awareness events. The organization unites more than 300 communities annually through various breast cancer walks and events to honor breast cancer victims and raise funds to aid the American Cancer Society with services, information, research, and access to mammograms for women in need.
The Biggest Team in JMF History
The J.M. Field Marketing team, called JMFers, has a total of 37 participants and is comprised of employees as well as their friends and family. This is the largest number of participants JMF has had for a walk/run.
“I’m thrilled with the amount of people who signed up,” said team leader Natalya Jones. “This is a fantastic event to not only to raise breast cancer awareness in our community, but to bond as coworkers as well.”
JMF will also donate a check to the cause, well surpassing their fundraising goal of $500. As of now, Making Strides of Broward has raised $358, 910.58.
