SEO Part 1- Getting an SEO Anaylsis
Search engine optimization (SEO) has changed significantly since the mid-1990s. Back then all you had to do was submit your URL to the search engine and it would crawl your website and index it. Today, you need to do a lot more for your website to show up in the top results of the search engine results pages (SERPs).
You’re competing against at least a million other websites. Your website needs to be SEO-friendly, so that it will generate more visibility, attract more traffic and improve the ranking of your website. If your website doesn’t show up in the top search results of a search engine such as Google, it needs an SEO Analysis.
Your SEO Analysis should tell you:
- Which pages need to be improved?
- What’s missing from the website?
- A list of keywords
- The keyword density
- The length of the meta description
- A list of indexed web pages
- A list of broken links
- And much more!
Once this health check has been completed you need to start improving your website. If you don’t understand your SEO analysis, hire a consultant or a marketing company to explain it to you. They can also fix these issues as well.
