NFL Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Even if you’re not a football fan, it’s hard to miss the flood of pink at the NFL games. And it’s not just the players, coaches and referees wearing pink. With pink promotional merchandise everywhere football fans have joined in this cause worthy trend. Even the NFL website has gone pink. What’s going on you ask? Well, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the NFL has partnered with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness of breast cancer by wearing pink during the NFL games.

Afterward the breast cancer awareness apparel including special games balls and pink coins will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and a few other charities. Since breast cancer as touched the lives of many NFL members, it seems fitting that their efforts will raise money and awareness of breast cancer.
