The Elements of a Successful Marketing Campaign

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama…all of these bright and influential men used their charm and knowledge to become presidents of The United States using a strategic marketing campaign. They presented their message using the right words and did it with the right timing. Just as in political campaign, a marketing campaign is most successful when the message is short and sweet.

Not only should the message be sweet, but the offer should appeal to the audience. For you to do this, you have to understand the customer enough to be able to describe the wants, fears, problems and desires of the customer and how your offer solves or satisfies them so well that the customer will swear you have been listening thorough their walls. But first you have to make sure that your market, message and timing are right.

You have to find out who your target audience is and whether or not you have a large enough customer base to generate enough business to sustain your company’s monetary goals. Then you can start creating your marketing message, which should be clear and concise.

You must make sure that the medium you choose to broadcast your message is popular with your target audience. If your target audience is senior citizens then mobile marketing is not the right way to advertise your business to them. In order for your campaign to be successful you need to know what you’re doing or you can work with a marketing company who will handle all the small details to ensure the big picture comes together.

Third, and lastly is timing. The difference between salad and garbage is timing. People buy things when they need them, and people’s needs change on a regular basis. It is important to find a means of communication that targets the right customers at the right time. Utilizing all three of these strategies in a marketing campaign will allow you to grow your business.
