It’s summer. It’s hot. Swimming pools, the beach and a nice cold ice tea on a long sweltering day. No worries, right? Well with the economy recovering slowly and customers still hasten to buy; you need do to something to grab their attention.
The CBS2 New York station thought the same thing. With the weather in New York getting hotter by the minute, and with everyone talking about it, they decided to make the most of the buzz by announcing a free bottled water giveaway at the Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn. Of course, the bottles displayed the CBS2 logo. So the question is will the event be a rousing success or will it wilt like an unwatered flower? But since the heat wave hasn’t lessened up so far, it looks like their smart marketing event will be.
Your company should always be on the lookout for opportunities to market your brand and get noticed. Even a small or innocent event like the heat wave hitting the east coast can be used to a company’s advantage. So whether you’re company’s based in South Florida, New York or Kansas you can use the summer to your advantage. Be clever! Be witty!
